Why Ride

We ride in the spirit of Terry Fox.

After losing his leg to cancer, Terry Fox began the Marathon of Hope to raise money for cancer research and show what courage, purpose, and community can do. This ride continues that mission by bringing people together to support the cause, raise funds, and help fight cancer.

01

Terry's story still leads the day.

Terry Fox set out across Canada with one goal: raise money and hope for people facing cancer. His legacy is why this event exists and why every kilometre matters.

02

We ride to support the cause.

This is more than a ride route. It is a community effort to raise funds for Terry Fox and support the fight against cancer through a shared day of purpose.

03

Every rider helps move the mission forward.

Register, choose your distance, and be part of the push toward the $5,000 Terry Fox goal. WEBC also has a separate donation option for anyone who wants to support local cycling efforts too.
